Human Design Profiles

Profile 1/3 - The Investigator and Experiencer

investigator Martyr profile details

You learn best through personal experience and struggle following the advice of others. You have to investigate, explore and then experiment with something to know if it is right for you or not.

You love to research and learn as much as you can about something before you go down a particular path or form an opinion about it. This can make you a subject-matter expert. You can cultivate a deep and rich knowledge of whatever subject area lights you up. There will always be people who want the information only you can share. This makes you very employable. You don’t feel comfortable sharing or teaching about any subject until you are reasonably confident you’ve earned a certain degree of expertise in that area.

It’s very hard o lie to you. You like to get to the bottom of things and have a well-developed bs detector.

Profile 1/4 - The Investigator and Networker

investigator opportunist profile details

You want to embrace all life has to offer but you need security first. Most of your opportunities such as work, relationships etc. come through your network.

You prefer your relationships to start as friendships first; you are selective about forging close relationships. This also helps you attract intimacy into your life.

Always ensure you have a healthy balance between what you give and
receive. All your relationships need to be reciprocal for you to truly shine for  the warm person you are.

You are warm to those who accept what you have to share and can be mean to those who won’t listen or reject what you have to say.  Because security is essential to you, you likely won’t change jobs, relationships, or where you live until you have a replacement already lined up.

You can be filled with fear and dread when you are in doubt or crisis and you may retreat from the world. This is when you need to find stability and certainty again in your life.

Profile 2/4 - The Hermit and Networker

hermit opportunist profile details

You prefer to interact with others one-to-one rather than in crowds and you can start a conversation with anyone.

You are pulled between wanting to be alone and wanting to be around others; when you’re alone you may wish for company but then around others you may wish you were alone.

You like to retreat alone into your own sanctuary and while there, you don’t like to be disturbed. But people always call you back out into opportunity when you’re there. They recognise that you can’t live in seclusion. Your success will likely come from the call of others in your network.

When you resonate with the call from others to step out into an opportunity, your natural talents will inspire and influence others and you will be transformed.

You can become a wise teacher and advisor once you become comfortable with the advice you have to share which you’ve learned from the world around you.

You’re selective with your friendships and can derive your identity from others; they help you see yourself. You need your network of people for strength and support and to give you purpose.

Embrace your naturalness. When you do you and put your heart into something will be more successful and thrive. You must learn to have more trust in both yourself and life.

Profile 2/5 - The Hermit and Heretic

hermit heretic profile details

You prefer to be alone, often hiding yourself from other people but people notice when you’re not around and they call you back out from hiding because they see wisdom in you that needs to be shared. While part of you wants to be left alone to go about your own business, the other part of you has a deep capability to guide other people through your ability to universalize things.

People will see you as someone who can bring practical value into their lives. They call on you to lead and guide them and expect you to call other people into your quest. Whether you’re seen leading the way as a saviour or a rebel, you are prepared to burn at the stake for the right cause.

When you step up and take on this call from other people, ensure it’s for something you believe in and want to engage in. Also ensure these pursuits are practical to ensure your success.

People who are drawn to you will project onto you that you are their saviour. If you don’t live up to these expectations, they may burn you at the stake believing you’ve seduced them into believing in you.

When you’re not answering the call of others, people may think of you as selfish and uncaring.

Profile 3/5 - The Experiencer and Heretic

martyr heretic profile details

You are here to help fix the world, standing up for something that aligns to your truth. You speak up when others won’t.

You will often leap before you look. You can’t help but call out the problems surrounding you. It is hard for you to live up to the saviour expectations that others put on you.

You can be blamed for many things which can cause you to feel pessimistic at times. It can feel like a difficult and lonely life.  It’s important for you to realise that you have a unique and crucial role in life.
Your power and your truth comes from your journey of trial and error. This truth has the power to alter the people that you come into contact with and change the world around you.

You sense what doesn’t work and can harness the power of the Heretic, take charge, and deliver something practical that does work to help fix the world.

You experiment and then share what you’ve often learned the hard way.

Learn to accept that your process is through learning lessons which provides you with your greatest gifts; these have NOT been a series of failures.  Ultimately, you are here to walk a path of solitude towards your own self-discovery and self-acceptance.

Profile 3/6 - The Experiencer and Role Model

Martyr Role model profile details

You try many different things in the first half of your life and often learn the hard way through personal experience. This is how you evolve to be yourself.

You are here to feel, see and smell what is wrong and right through trial and error. These are not a series of failures but experiences that bring you wisdom and life perspective. This allows you to emerge as a knowledgeable role model and expert later in life when you can lead others through the insight of your own mistakes.

You can then give advice about things that you would never get involved with yourself. You have a been there, done that attitude and therefore command respect from others. Your input can really make a difference to others and you can make a lasting impression on them.

As you age, you may struggle with the dilemma about whether you should actually get involved in the action of life or rise above it all.

If other people break your trust you will likely break their bond with them.

It’s important that you only engage with activities that resonate with you because these contribute to your sense of fulfilment. When you feel trapped, this is a sign that you’ve engaged with the wrong pursuits and people.

The first part of your life is about experimentation and experience. The mid part of life is we you step back to become more of an observer of life, processing the things that you’ve learned. Around 50 is when you emerge as a very wise role model and step back fully into the world.

Profile 4/1 - The Networker and Investigator

opportunist investigator profile details

You have an intimate network of friends who may have been the same friends your whole life as you don’t change them often. The secret to your survival is from the benefits derived from your relationships.

You are deeply investigative. Once you’ve got to the depth of something you can then share this with your network. If you’ve thoroughly studied and formed an idea about something you will often not change this idea no matter how much proof there is to the contrary.

You are acutely aware of the strength and weakness in yourself and others. You can smell weakness and can take full advantage of it.

When you try to conform to others and follow suit, you feel derailed. This is why it’s so important to stick to your nature, follow your heart, and your fixed life path. This will give you strength and conviction in life.

Profile 4/6 - The Networker and Role Model

Opportunist Role model profile details

You can be a compassionate leader who brings wisdom, optimism, and hope to many life circumstances. You make a great ally or consultant. You can turn experience into great wisdom as you go through the three-part cycle of your life.

You can shine in any environment especially when you have a receptive audience.
In these situations, you share your wisdom in an entertaining way that also educates listeners.

Forming friendships first is important to you before engaging with anyone or anything because it helps you determine if they are authentic and reliable. You value quality of relationships over quantity and you can at times experience people fatigue.

Your advice is best only shared with your people; the people who value, respect and trust you. Don’t waste your time trying to win over people who aren’t your people.
Teamwork and togetherness are important to you. You want others to succeed as much as you want it for yourself.

Profile 5/1 - The Heretic and Investigator

Heretic investigator profile details

You are here to share what you know and are a keen observer of the world around you. You can seduce the people around you into new ideas and perspectives. You’re exterior appearance impresses everyone but underneath you are full of insecurities.

You are a highly capable performer, but you can build barriers around you to protect yourself from truly letting anyone in. You’re great at looking outwards but can struggle to look inwards.

Other people see you as their saviour who can restore order with your power when society is in turmoil. When you operate in a practical way you establish your power and presence in the world.

Being authentic and setting boundaries will help liberate you and lead you to a path of fulfilment.

Profile 5/2 - The Heretic and Hermit

Heretic hermit profile details

Part of you is outwardly projecting; the other part craves solitude. Part of you projects to others that you seek their feedback; the other part projects information and fantasies out to others.

You can put on a captivating performance, stopping people in their tracks and then just as quickly retreat. But you always leave your mark on them. This is your natural craft, but this is also your illusion so don’t start believing that your own performance is who you really are.
You are concerned how other people perceive you, and how naturally you come across. You may feel like you tip toe around social situations because of this. But most people won’t get what’s going on inside for you. You can become almost anything and anyone in any situation so don’t listen to other people’s opinions about you, they’re unreliable as they’re unable to grasp the real you.

Your naturalness can have some difficulty with your illusory, somewhat make believe tendency, meaning you're not quite sure where you stand somewhere between natural and fake. You need life to be truthful – your natural way can cause this to be an impossible dilemma for you causing you an inner angst. Make sure you find time to relax and enjoy life.

When you feel in touch with other people’s lives, you are able to make available and share concepts and issues that have relevance and practicality to them. This is why you need to be exposed to every aspect of life so you can learn these truths.

You can at times be reluctant in sharing what you know because it seems so ordinary and you assume that other people know these things. But this is often not the case. This is why you need to find the internal motivation yourself to share what you know with others.

Professionally, you may be great at proposing and embarking on projects but your desire for solitude may cause you to question your progress and involvement.

You can have an internal struggle between guilt and forgiveness. Everyone makes mistakes. You must learn to forgive yourself for your own perceived shortcomings.

Profile 6/2 - The Role Model and Hermit

Role model hermit profile details

You’re here to learn about trust and balance. Harmony is something you crave. You don’t respond well to the pressure from other people to prove yourself.

Trust is essential for you; if trust is broken, you will never engage with them again.

Early in life you have a trial and error process that helps you discover more about yourself. As you age, you become an objective observer of life and you are finally able to shine. At this stage you seek only quality relationships. Later in life you step into your role as a wise observer who can communicate to others what is and isn’t working without actively participating in these things yourself.

You have a specific calling in life, but you may not find what this is until later in life. You play an important role in your community and can be a reliable authority. People always notice you, but you often keep your distance. You also don’t like drama.

You must live according to your own values and practice what you preach. You also hold high standards for others and yourself.

Profile 6/3 - The Role Model and Experiencer

Role model martyr profile details

Your life is never boring. You’re promiscuous in all you do, moving from experience to experience trialling what does and doesn’t work for you.

You form bonds quickly and then just as quickly break them if trust is broken or the experience is no longer fulfilling.

The first 30 years of your life are all about learning by experience. Through trial and error in the material world you discover what is right for you. Experiencing what is not right for you is how you evolve in life.

As you mature, you form a more detached life perspective. You constantly jump in and out of things; from observation to engagement trying your best to stay aloof.  But life often bumps into you sucking you back into engagement only to then burn you again causing you to once again detach from it.

In the third part of your life, you are finally able to make peace with your process. You seek to find your soulmate and perhaps even start afresh together. Quality relationships are key for you at this time. You want a partner to help you lead as a role model; you’d prefer not to do it alone.\

While you may still feel like making bonds and then breaking them during this period of your life, you finally seek to find a partner you can continually return to as you go through your innate ‘engage and detach’ process.
